Friday night - sprytess and the KC crew showed up. I built my replacement backdoor, but didn't get time to hang it. It is all 2x12s so I am not worried about anyone kicking this one in.

Saturday - low attendance, but way better then I expected as the weather man had said rain every two hrs.

This weekend we helped Astral Seas put up a roof.... and I think with less heat we would have made it.
All the supports are up, now we need to add plywood and roofing.
But I hurt myself just as all the fun began. I did it in my normal manly way: I picked up an extension cord.

The Faire is closed today due to flooding last night. We are smart enough to know that folks don't want to come and get their car stuck in the parking lot (Even so, we had to turn patrons away who were willing to chance it).

Friday - 3000 kids and chaperones. Never got in garb. Helped merchants and cast. At one point I helped move the stuffed unicorn which wound up with me at the rear of said beast trying to avoid eating tail. Hopefully no one got a picture. Installed door for second floor and gate. I will be away from this computer thing until Monday, as I am going to be spending the next three days at the Greater St. Louis Renaissance Faire in Wentzville, MO.
Today is Kids Day. 2300 local school kids. Chaos at it finest.
Then 2 days of the real deal, meaning I get to stand in the street and flirt.

The name I use at the Ren Faire is Manuel Delusuario. I figure that my pronunciation is off as no one has called me on it. It means User Manual in Spanish (Manual Del Usuario). I got the name while putting together a table saw, and had the instruction manual with the Spanish side up. It sounded pretty.
